Understanding Islam
What Christians Need to Know
The Metro Detroit area has the second-largest concentration of Arabs in the world outside of the Middle
East (second only to Sao Paulo, Brazil), and a large percentage of them are Muslims.
- Muslims are a mission field on our doorstep; we don’t have to go to a foreign land to reach them for Christ.
- Most of us likely rub shoulders with Muslims on a regular basis, but few Christians really know much about what Muslims believe and how Biblical Christianity differs from Islam.
- Muslims have made significant inroads into the Black community. Yet few Christians understand why, and most are woefully uninformed about Black Muslims and the Nation of Islam movement.
- Though Muslims represent only about 0.6% of the U.S. population, their influence has been felt in may ways throughout the country.
This one-day conference will inform Christians about the nature and beliefs of Muslims in order to better prepare us to interact with Muslims, ultimately for the purpose of pointing them to Jesus Christ as the only way to the Father.
A delicious buffet lunch and free parking are included in your registration.
The price of tickets represents roughly half the actual cost for admission.
